Hey guys, my dog has pretty much lived with a cat her whole life until about 4 months ago. She’s a very submissive dog (a beta?) and the cat used to act as her “leader”. She has actually never even barked. Since moving away from that cat (it was my college roommates) she has not really been herself. She’s been sleeping a lot and just seems sad. Originally, we thought it was just the move, but most people say she should have been adjusted by the ~3 month mark, and we haven’t seen many improvements. We took her up to the shelter to meet some cats, and she seemed happy as ever. Could it be possible that she really relied on the cat? It’s the only logical conclusion I can come to, but I was wondering if anyone else had gone through a similar situation. Thanks!
