About two years ago I started being waken up at night occasionally by my (then 4yr old) lab licking my armpits. She would stop when I shooed her away. I mentioned it to the vet who said it’s just she likes the salt and said I did right by just making her stop. But over time it’s gone from occasionally, to every night. I started wearing long sleeves but that only stopped her for a while. Now she just licks my shirt too. I tried crating her at night for about 2 months and she whines all night long but she does fine in a crate in daytime. I locked her out of my room but not crated and she destroys my apartment. Now it’s gotten so bad that she whines and starts tearing stuff up if I hide under my blankets. I’m really getting worried now that it seems so excessive but the vet keeps saying to just make her stop. How do I make her stop without causing her so much distress?
