Hello,
My fiance had lived with me for just over a month and has been over almost every weekend for the last 4 months prior. So it isn't like it he isn't here.
She is only like this when me or my sister are home. She is my sister's dog. She even barks at me if she thinks I may be him.
Worst she has ever gotten is today. She had his leg with her mouth but did not bite down. He was ignoring her and just walking out to the car. My sister and I did yell at her (we don't hit or anything) and she understood she was in trouble. I'm not sure if she knew why.
When we aren't home she sleeps next to him, he can grab her collar and lead her outside, and she couldn't care less about him.
As soon as I get home she starts barking... It gets the worst when my sister is home.
I realize she is being protective but she obviously knows he isn't a threat. So why does she forget this when my sister or myself gets home or comes out of our bedrooms?
She isn't socialized so she has issues with males. We want to train that out of her but we don't have time. The issues with males ONLY happens at home. She is very protective. We are thankful but at the same time she doesn't fight she is just loud and annoying lol
