I have a 2 year old mutt named Kyle. We adopted him from a local adoption center and he was the last of his litter. He was a normal puppy with normal temporary things like separation anxiety and all but he got over that. He’s grown quickly and he is VERY hyper. We have to keep him indoors. We have a small deck that we fenced off to keep him from escaping. He has escaped several times in the past and is very hard to get to come back in the house. He ignores you completely and just runs around into people’s yards doing his own. We walk him whenever we have time and play with him. We feed him well. He’s not sick. He’s just very hyper. Lately he has been acting very aggressive towards my family and I. We let him hang around in the bedrooms and he likes it there. Sometimes he doesn’t wanna leave the bedroom when we tell him to and instead melts on the floor. One day my dad told him to get out of the bedroom and gave him a small push (we do this and it gets him moving out the door) without thinking and Kyle bit his hand really hard. Kyle has never bit any one of us before. A few days after that when we try to push him out he gets aggressive and shows his teeth and tries to bite us. He makes a very high pitched scream when he does it. He’s done this more than four times. My parents are thinking of giving him away but then my mom mentions he will be even more aggressive towards a new family. I think she is suggesting we put him down. He’s only two years old and we raised him since a puppy. Any advice?
