My boyfriend's relative is extremely irresponsible. Last year, he brought home a puppy that one of his friends could no longer keep. He took in this puppy even though he's not a responsible person. (no one in the family likes this guy). He would come home and pet the dog a bit and then go to his room with the door closed. His mother is the one who cleans up after the dog and everything..
I feel so incredibly sad for this dog and I want to do something about it. I HATE how people who are irresponsible bring home a pet and neglect it. It makes me so angry. The thing is, no one ever trained him properly. He knows how to use the pee pads, but he still pees on the floor.
I'm planning to take him in, but the thing is I can't keep him either because my mom doesn't like dogs very much. I'm planning to potty train the dog and hopefully find him a loving family.
Anyone have experience finding a home for an animal? Is there anything I should be aware of?
