Hi Reddit, I have a 5 year old cat who has been my world for 4 years. For my mental health I really want to get a dog when I move to my new apartment. But I want to make sure it’s as stress free for both animals. Can people who have done this before share their experiences and tips? I’d appreciate it!
I am going to rescue a dog, probably and hopefully from a foster situation so I know that he or she already is friendly toward cats.
My cat Cooper seems laid back. He’s social but fairly low energy. He responds positively to the neighborhood cat when he’s in our balcony even tho the other cat hisses and stuff. But he’s never been around dogs to my knowledge.
