So we have a rescue who is about 4 years old now and he pees everywhere. It is a full time job to track down and clean up after him. He uses the (MANY) litter boxes that we have. He seems super friendly and relaxed but he just lifts his tail and scents or pees anywhere he feels like it. And fairly often after peeing he rubs his cheeks against whatever he has just sprayed. This is way abnormal cat behavior and we are so confused. He is one of four in the home and all of the other cats have some form of health issue so it's reasonable to assume he would feel stressed here. They don't all get along all the time but we have 8 litter boxes spread out over three levels of the house and many different perches, climbs, window seats, and beds so there is little competition for a prime space. I clean everything up with Oxyclean and use essential oils to deter him from important spots (like the front entryway. It's so awesome to have cat urine be the first thing you smell when you walk in the house. *gag*) Through constant cleaning I can keep the house pretty smell-free but OMG I've had enough. We love him so much, he is such a sweet little lovey boy. It's just the peeing and scent marking. HELP. OMG SEND HELP.
