There’s a 90% chance my BF and I will be moving across the country for his promotion. We have two cats, both of them hate crates and car rides.
My preference would be to fly all of us, but I don’t want to sell my car (I will definitely need it)...so that leaves us with the overwhelming thought of driving 24 hours with two screeching cats.
What’s the best way to do this? How do you secure litter boxes in the car and make sure they actually use it? Do you keep them in crates the whole time? Can I sedate them first so they’re more calm?
I just want to make sure it would be as painless as possible for all of us.
