This happened once or twice last year, but has gotten more frequent in the last few months, maybe once a week. It happens almost exclusively when he’s wanting to be fed in the morning. Never at night when wanting to be fed. He’s had other vices in the morning to try and get me up to feed him, including ripping and chewing on things, scratching doors, etc. He still does those but has added peeing to the mix. He also doesn’t pee if there’s no clothes on the ground and never pees on the bed or anything.
Also, he isn’t sick. He’s had a blockage before and I know the signs. No straining, he pees fine in the litter box at all other times in the day.
Does anyone have any thoughts\advice about this? I see it as an anxiety behavior surrounding him wanting to be fed. He’s maybe realized that like the chewing on things, peeing makes me “get up” to stop him (equaling food in his mind). Not sure though.
Any advice is welcome! Thanks!
