So i got a cat this morning from a family friend that had to give it away, the cat hid for a little but is now fine with exploring and everything. I know it takes some time to ajust but earlier today it came onto my bed while i was watching tv m, he was rubbing up against me and purribg but as soon as i put my hand out to pet him he grabbed it and cut it up and bit it. It didnt hurt all too much but i really dont want it to happen. What am i doing wrong. Cat is about 4 years old, uknown breed
