My dog is allergic to everything under the sun - grain, chicken, beef, pork, turkey, potato, legumes - pretty much everything that's in normal dog food. We feed her a variety of raw dog foods from other meats (lamb, goat, fish, elk, llama), plus eggs, carrots, apples, fish skins... What I'm trying to say is that it seems unlikely that she has a vitamin deficiency.
But she eats poop. Deer, rabbit, and kibble-fed dog poop preferred.
We recently got a tenant for our basement suite who has a large dog that eats kibble, and my dog gets to his poop far more often than I'd like. She's starting to get really badly itchy again as she does with allergies. We have a big, treed yard that we enjoy letting the dogs run in.
Do you have any suggestions about what to do? I suppose I could ask the tenant to give her dog some kind of poop-eating deterrent, but that seems kind of intrusive.
