Tips on grieving?

We adopted Buddy Buster Posey (or Buddy for short) our dog 3 years ago, he was ten when he passed. We had to put him down the other day because he ate something and it was squishing his intestines and we couldn’t afford the surgery to get it removed. He was my best friend and saved my life once. He was the light of my family’s life and now everything feels so empty without him. Any tips on how to grieve his loss? My mom especially feels guilty because she couldn’t afford the surgery for him. I feel bad because I was the one who let him snuggle with the blanket he ate a part of. My sister feels bad because she was out late that night he ate the blanket and didn’t feed him until late. We all feel bad
