Hi. I'm Josh.
I'll be clear and honest about my situation.
Five and a half years ago, I was living in an abusive situation. I had a dog. To get away from that situation, I had to move somewhere where I couldn't take him. I reached out on the internet with a post, and a family responded and I surrendered him to them. They had kids and another dog.
I was panicked, and stupid, and young. The only means I had to contact them were by phone. I didn't have long to get all my affairs in order to get away. It took me about a year to get my life together, and when I tried to reach out to see how my dog was doing, their phone number was disconnected.
I've been trying to find a way to get ahold of them, just to see how he is. I've looked up their mobile phone number to see if I could find who owned it. (Looked on Facebook, haven't tried reverse phone registries.) I don't have much else.
But I have you, Reddit.
Can you help me find out what has happened to Ace since I left him with that family? Can you help me get in touch?
I won't post any of their personal info on here. I don't have their names (I don't remember them), unfortunately. I have the phone number we used to talk. They live (or lived) in Manchester, NH. If you know a family in Manchester, New Hampshire who has a black and white Border Collie named Ace, please tell me.
Yes, my dog's name is Ace. He's a black and white mixed breed Border Collie. I only have four old photos of him. He knew how to sit. Stay. Lie down. Catch a Frisbee. He was fast, and he was smart.
He was two(ish). He'd be around seven years old now. He might be gone.
But regardless of how he is, I want to know. I severely regret not getting more information than I did.
Can you help me find him? I don't want to take him from his home, I just want to know how he is.
Thanks,
Josh
Really young, when he was a puppy.
Tuckered from playing outside.
