To provide a little background; my father is taking care of his friend's dog for a couple of months while they are away. So the dog won't ever follow me upstairs but will gleefully follow my father up them, so I've ruled out any injuries. We take turns taking the dog out for walks so I'd say I've spent as much time as he does with the dog but I still don't understand why the dog's behavior changes up between us.
May be far-fetched but does the dog like recognize me as the child and therefor does not respect my presence by comparison?
