Cat poop and my wits end

I have a 14 year old male indoor only neutered cat. For his first 12 years he has been a perfect cat. During the last two years he has started peeing and pooping everywhere.

I have two other cats and a small dog as well. They all get along very well. I have multiple litter boxes and have tried having two per cat at one time.

The cat in question now poops and pees anywhere he can. He climbs onto bathroom and kitchen counters and does his business. Shelves, tables, chairs, beds, and rugs are all fair game. I have had him examined by a vet and he has been put on medication for hyperthyroidism. Aside from that he is good. I have tried feliway to no avail.

At this point i have him confined to a room of his own. I let him in the house when i am home but he goes back in when i go to sleep or work. If he is left out he continues his bad habits. At least this way the destruction is largely contained.

My question is what can i do.
1)Vet - Check 2)Slew of Litter boxes - Check 3)Different Litters - Check 4)Feliway - Check 5)Different Food attempts - Check

At some point this has become a health and hygiene issue for the rest of us in the house. I am thinking it may be time for him to go for everyone’s health and safety.

Anything I haven’t tried?”
