Hi there, and thanks in advance for your advice.
So I have a house with several pets. An 8 year old special needs beagle, a 10 year old chihuahua, and a one year old cat. The dogs spend their daytime hours while we're working outside in a fenced yard and our garage, the cat remains inside and in the evenings we'reone bug happy family inside. The lady of the house has been reading that cats yeet lonely and need a playmate to live their best life, I'm not opposed to the idea of taking in another cat, but am more inclined to rescue another dog than I am a cat, a simple matter of taste.
My question is, does a cat that cohabitates with two dogs really need a second cat to be their best?
