It's just been one thing after another in a short span of time and I just need to vent.
Late night walk and my dog gets sprayed by a skunk. This is right after I have worked an 11 hour shift. The bugger came out of a pipe in a ditch without realizing we were right there. My dog instantly went for him and got sprayed right in the face and chest/shoulder. I of course have minimal supplies to deal with this and was up til 5 or 6 in the morning.
He starts developing scabs on both sides of his face. I'm stressing like crazy until I can get him into the vet. The vet says it looks to be an allergic reaction. Sent home with some meds and a cream. Of course because it's a last minute appointment its $$$. But thankfully it's nothing serious.
It takes more than a few days of frantic cleaning to get the skunk smell out of my apartment. For instance, my foyer/front door reeked so strongly it was like gasoline and ass.
My sister brings my dog one of those yak milk chews. He proceeds to try to bury it in my bed while I'm in the shower. He gives himself a friction burn on his nose, which results in him getting blood ALL OVER my bed. Cue me up til the wee hours of the morning treating and washing the linens, duvet and pillows so the stain doesn't set.
Next night I guess my door didnt latch ccompletely because the same thing happens again when I go to shower. Blood all over the sheets I have just washed the previous night.
I'm sleep deprived and frustrated, and am kicking myself. I love my dog unconditionally but I'm definitely not pleased with him right now. I'm sure my landlords, who live above me, have been wondering what the heck is going on considering I've been doing laundry every night at like 2/3 in the morning. And the baby gate has officially been taken out of storage and is blocking off my bedroom.
