Hello!
First thing first- Ive never owned a kitten. My cats until now have all been adults when I adopted them, so Ive always skipped this part of kitty development.
I just brought home an 8week barn kitten, who the owners said they needed to get rid of. Its his first night away from mama and his sisters, and he wont stop crying unless my girlfriend or I are in the same room as he is.
We have another cat, who is 10. and although hes the nicest cat I've ever know, isnt too keen on the little guy quite yet. The kitten is quarantined in my office, so my Old Boy still has his home.
Aside from breaking my heart to hear his teeny lonely cries, hes keeping us from sleeping. Is there anything we should or can do that can help him calm down and sleep? Should we be answering his cries, or just letting him burn himself out?
Thanks!!
