We're rehoming our baby boy this weekend, and I'm having a HARD time.

Here's a bit of backstory:

My boyfriend and I are living in a trailer that's absolutely infested with termites and mold (no thanks to the landlord).

We're expecting our first baby in less than 3 months, and obviously, this is NOT the right conditions for a baby, so we had to move at the earliest time possible. Unfortunately, we only found one place that's available, but we can't bring our 7-month-old cat Bubbles with us.

Anyway, we're rehoming him with my aunt and uncle who live 3 hours away from where we are. And while I'm so so happy that he's being rehomed with people that already have cats he can play with and who I know personally, I'm having a really hard time. I'm feeling so guilty about having to throw him into a new environment, but I know it's FAR better than having surrendered him to a shelter or people we didn't know.

So, I have all of 3 days left with him before I say goodbye, and I feel horrible.

TL;DR: Have to move. Rehoming our cat with family members. He'll be in a good home, but I'm struggling emotionally with giving him up.
