So my dog Dixie is an indoor/outdoor dog and about 12 years old. My kitchen door to the outside has always opened in so she would stand to one side so I could open the door to let her out. Well I had to get a new door and this one is a sliding glass door and she won't go out it. She will go up to the door but won't go out or come in unless I pick her and put her in/out. Y'all she's a 75 pound dog my back can't take it. How do I get her to go out on her own? She sat there and watched me go in and out a few times but she won't go out/come in, I'll close the door and she'll set there and whine to go out but when I open the door she just sits there until I put her out. I've even broken out the treat bag so far nothing.
TL/DR I don't know what to do about my dog not liking the new door.
