So our kitten is 4 months old. In the last couple weeks we’ve come home to find multiple softball sized holes eaten out of blankets, more recently with blood around the outside ring of these holes. We believe she’s teething, and we’ve tried our best to give her toys she can chew, more wet food, and cat proofed the space she has to herself to the best of our abilities. Today we came home and she’s moved on to our bedsheets ( she’s typically only chewing / eating where she sleeps so we think it’s a smoothing mechanism for her) we know it’s not a separation problem because she’s done it while we were home.
What do we do?
We hate to confine her to a small space when we’re gone (like the bathroom) but it’s getting to the point where there’s nothing more we can do short of wrapping the whole outside of the bed in the tarp so she won’t eat it. We worry about her safety and want to be able to trust that she’ll be okay when we have to leave during the day.
Thanks for any help
