Due to some personal ethical concerns, I've always found it difficult to keep certain animals since it's so against their nature. I'm not intending to push those ethical concerns here, so I won't mention examples, but I'm sure you can think of some.
Snakes enjoy being confined, and one will very frequently find a snake in very, very close quarters for very long periods of time (and likely only leaves to find food).
I'm looking for animals (aquatic animals, amphibians, reptiles, mammals, etc.), which in their natural environment stay in confined quarters for extremely long periods of time.
