2 days before christmas our 11 year old dog got hit by a car.
The dog fractured the carpal joint on left leg in a couple places but survived. We were especially thankful as our kid would have been heartbroken at christmas time.....
The vet care is quickly passing a few grand.
Prior to this we refinanced some credit debt to become debt free and stop a spiral - so using cards is a big no - but we were tapped with school loans, our refinance loan, and then medical bills......
All the vet stuff has gone on credit. Today somehow, someway, the stint and bandages slid down and pulled right off her leg. We are only 4 weeks in of what could be 4 months of healing. We're faced with the possibility of putting an otherwise healthy and vivacious animal down to avoid financial ruin.
