My cat has a skin condition. He scratches his back till it is sore and red. The vet prescribed this d/d cat food but it is $70 a bag and it only lasts a month!! I cant afford this. I noticed on the back of the bag that the only real difference from normal cat food is the vitamins. B12, Vitamin E, and fish oils. And some others. Im wondering if there is a cheaper alternative or if i can simply feed him fish oil pills (and or other pills that you might recommend) with his meal. This cat is fine besides the scratching and it isnt helping at all. Its still sore and red. Thanks for your input
