My new zebra finch is not normal, help

I recently bought a zebra finch, it is a male, and his behavior isn’t normal. He alows himself to be picked up, and is being bullied by my female finches. His beak is fully orange, so he is in fact mature, but he doesn’t seem to be afraid of hands or people.

We have an open enclosure where we keep all our birds, that is completely netted. They fly around and we have posts and nests if they do wish to reproduce.

He flys around and doesn’t stay around us, but when we introduce our animals to the enclosure it takes a while for them to find out where the posts are and where the nets are. He has had a few accidents and fallen :( but all of our birds learn and live healthy lives, and we had a female zebra live to almost 8 years until she passed.

When he fell we picked him up and noticed he is not scared of our hands and stays on us when we pick him up, sometimes new birds are in shock after the bump (it sounds terrible I know). But they quickly adapt. Usually we introduce them to the surroundings in short periods, to make sure they don’t get hurt by crashing into the netting. Every time he gets tired from flying we can come and pick him up and he will just stay on us. He eats off our hands and seems to have no fear. He prunes his feathers on our hands and pecks at our palms. I am confused. Most zebras we have want nothing to do with us unless they are hungry.

He doesn’t appear to be getting along with the other finches but is friends with our 3 parakeets, he stays with them and follows them around (also seems they have accepted him because he likes to get very close and the parakeets show no aggression). Usually our birds teach other birds where the posts are and such, and the parakeets are helping him out weird... Also, he’s begun to recreate the parakeets chirps, also weird.

Is this normal? Is he perhaps too young and doesn’t recognize us as a “threat”? He isn’t hand fed, and we bought him for 8$ at a pet store we’ve used for years.

He is the only male, and we got him 2 days ago.

When we bring him inside he will just chill in our palms and doesn’t appear distressed, normal breathing, feathers aren’t defensive, he seems relaxed.

He doesn’t seem blind nor deaf either.

TLDR: new store bought zebra finch is not afraid of us, and being bullied by female finches. Also gets along with parakeets. Kinda weird. Super chill and stays on your hand, but he wasn’t handfed. Help? Is that normal?
