My parents have been daily feeding some adult cat food to our young kitten for the past 1.75 months, starting at 11 weeks old -- Will she grow fine?

Hi, apologies if this post is written poorly... I'm kinda in a bad mood at the moment.

Anyway, back in January we picked up a ~10 week old doll-face Persian kitten from a breeder. We started off feeding her the dryfood that the breeder had already got her on, then we eventually transitioned her to also eat wetfood. Within just 2 weeks of her arrival, my father started giving her some extremely cheap "Friskies" adult formulated food-- he feeds the neighborhood stray cats a few times a day and felt sharing some of it "out of kindness". Since then, he's determined to feed her a spoonful of this food 2-3 times a day and it seems to be making it harder to feed our kitten the food she needs to be eating. On top of that, my mother has also been feeding her adult formulated food; "special treats" as she calls them, but feeds them daily-- sometimes multiple times a day... and yes, they replace meals.

If I were to estimate... on average, our kitten has been eating 40% adult food and 60% kitten food since she was 11 weeks old. (now almost 18 weeks old)

I've tried politely telling them a fair amount of times that we should not be feeding her this stuff until she reaches her appropriate weight and size (1~ year of age), but they won't listen. I've tried explaining the difference between "kitten" and "adult" formulated food and also told them that a kitten's stomach is very small and we really should reserve the space for the more calorie packed kitten food, but again they won't listen. They think because she's not with her mother anymore, she's almost an adult now. Something something cat years, too. They also think my goal of feeding her kitten formulated food until she reaches 1 year of age is "mean" and "unfair."

I even asked our vet the other day in front of my mother about when it's safe to start introducing adult food to her diet (basically said "12 months depending on weight, earliest being 9 months") and my mother just ignored it.

Despite me being the one who funded everything for this family pet of ours ($1.5k total so far out of my own pocket), my opinion and concerns seems to mean absolutely nothing in this house.

So with all that said; will our kitten be OK with this bad feeding habit, or is this going to screw up her growth? I've been so concerned about this and I feel bad that she isn't getting all the nutrition she needs. Especially since I think she seems a bit underweight? 3.1 pounds @ almost 4 months of age. (apparently she should be 4+ pounds by now?)

Anyway, thank you for reading and thank you for any words.
