My husband and I have had two cats for the last 4 years. They love each other so much and we’re much happier when it was just the two of them. Back in September 2019, we ended up adopting a 4 month old kitten and not long after, a stray cat came meowing at our front door and we took her in as well. I am, what my husband calls, a “bleeding heart” and I get very emotionally attached to cats. The two new kitties are sweet and loving, but my other two cats aren’t happy like they used to be. My female can’t stand the newcomers, even after introducing them slowly and carefully. My male cat is more tolerant of the new cats, but he’s also began pooping outside the box and vomiting more frequently. He has been checked out at the vet and he’s perfectly healthy, but stressed.
I love my cats like their my own babies, and I want them to all be happy and healthy. I don’t know what the best choice would be. I hate the thought of giving my babies and have trouble convincing myself that anybody could understand them and love them as much as I do. What would you do in this situation? And what would you recommend I do?
