Dangerous surroundings for a cat

Around 6 months ago, A stray cat gave birth in our house with 2 kittens.

The mother stopped coming around 2 months ago.

The kittens ( now 6 months old) constantly try to go out of the house, to the roads etc. This would normally wouldn't be a problem but since I live in India, there are several stray dogs outside which are known to have killed cats before.

The kittens have been indoor cats the whole time and sometimes we allow it to the terrace and the garage. The cats are becoming more and more impatient and use every opportunity to go outside (Slightly open doors or windows).

I'm scared to leave them outside. Will their curiosity fade with age or should I freely allow them to go outside? I'm afraid they don't have the experience to survive out there.
