My mom started feeding my cat these treats about a few months ago and ever since then she's been like honestly addicted to them. She'll meow like crazy whenever I get home and sit right by the cabinet they're in. I've had my cat for about 2 years now and she's always enjoyed her food but when I moved back in with my mom for a bit a few months ago it doesn't really seem like she enjoys her food very much anymore and honestly all she eats is the treats. I told my mom that we should stop giving them to her because i don't really like where this is going especially since they're not very healthy anyway. Honestly it looks like she's getting skinnier every since we stopped and I'm kind of worried. She's still a loving cat and seems to have a lot of energy but I'm just worried. I might have to ask my vet for advice. But before that I figured I'd ask this sub.
What should I do? Is there any other treats that are healthier and less addictive? I just want her to be happy lol and not hate me cus I don't give her treats anymore. Any help is appreciated, thanks.
