We adopted a cat 4 years ago when my son was almost 1 and everything was great, he loves her, she loves him and they became best buddies. Earlier this year we moved in with my parents and they didn't allow our cat to come upstairs (where we spent most of our time) so my son wasn't around her very much. A week ago we moved into our own house and brought our cat but my son is now suddenly allergic to her... Every time he touches her or snuggles with her he gets red bumps and rash and his eyes get so puffy... He already takes Zyrtec for allergies but it hasn't helped with the cat allergy. We don't know what to do. Is there anything that would help the allergies calm down? I've seen that Purina has a food that's supposed to reduce dander and help with allergies but has anyone here tried this and had luck? Any advice is appreciated, we just want our family to be back to normal again.
