I own two Maltese shiztus aged 7 and 9 and for the majority of their life they’ve lived in the outback, however I moved to town a year ago for for my job. There’s some bushy area not too far from where I live so that’s where I take them for walks now but on the way there/back we often run into other people just doing their exercise and walking their dogs. My dogs do. Not. Like. This. Every single person they see they go absolutely insane with barking! I’ve tried everything I could think of, trying to redirect their attention by calling them, standing in between the person and them even one of those citrus spray collars but it all does absolutely nothing! They don’t even pause when they get sprayed and just continue to go insane, it’s honestly extremely embarrassing to deal with and I’m at my wits end for what to do!
If anyone has any suggestions at all that would be super appreciated!!
