Hi all, looking for some advice here. I have had my dog for six months, she is a four year old Pittie mix. Around the two month mark, she started to bark when I’m not home. At first I thought she has hearing something on the TV, so I tried leaving classical music on as white noise in the background instead. No such luck. For the last four months, I have tried what feels like everything. Treats, interactive toys, Adaptil collar, desensitization, etc. Her walks are split up into two 45-60 minute walks or one giant 90 minute walk everyday. She is on Prozac for reactivity, which has helped her tremendously with her training and adjusting. Tried Trazodone, and it is hit or miss. Some days she is calm, others she barks on and off for hours. I have a trainer who is great and has been helpful in this situation. That being said, my neighbors (I live in an apartment) have been VERY patient and understanding and I can tell they’re starting to get agitated. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you.
