Trying to adopt a dog, but I live in an apartment?

I’ve been looking for a dog for a week now, to rescue. However I can’t seem to find a dog that according to petfinder, is suitable for an apartment. I live in an apartment which makes it really hard to find a dog I want because a lot of them seem to require a fenced yard. I live in Toronto where you need to literally have millions of dollars to your name in order to even dream about a fenced yard.

I’m just sort of looking for some advice and motivation to keep looking. Every time I fall in love with the dog through the pics and vids provided, I read the description and find that it’s not suitable for an apartment. My last application got rejected. Do you think I will ever end up finding a dog. I’m intimidated by this process
