Hello, I was petting my 8 week old kitten after putting my 19 month old son to bed. I notice something white on her fur near her tail and I lifted her tail and noticed a white worm coming out of her anus. I am a first time cat owner and a first time mom and I am freaking out. She plays with my son all the time and she is allowed on our bed. Earlier today she was lounging on our pillow. I'm going to call the vet first thing in the morning, but my concern is my son. What are the chances that he will contract the worms? I am freaking out big time. I am getting so much anxiety. I tried to research online what type of worm it was and it looks more like roundworm vs tapeworm. It is 2:30 am right now and I am freaking out.
I'm sorry I just realized the title says 7 week old but she is 8 weeks old.
