So I got a kitten last week. I have a dog and she loves cats, I thought she could use a friend. One of my neighbors took in a stray who had kittens, and so I adopted one. She's the sweetest thing ever and I've fallen totally in love. But my allergies have been going crazy. I knew I had a mild cat allergy, but I went to visit her a few times before bringing her home and I was fine. I think maybe just having her in the house 24/7 is what did it. I'm taking Claritin, which is helping a little. I also looked into allergy shots, but my insurance won't cover it and I can't afford it on my own. I have a friend with 2 girls who had a cat who passed away recently and they are looking for another. I know they would adore her. I guess I'm wondering am I being a horrible person if I re-home her? I feel like I made a commitment to take her and I should honor that, but also I know she would love being with my friend.
