My 3 year old male cat was having trouble urinating 2 nights ago, he would go in the litterbox and spend a few minutes in there and nothing would come out, so I took him to the vet first thing the next morning. He was able to urinate before we went to the vet, the vet suspected it might be a UTI so the vet gave him some anti inflammatory medication and antibiotics. This morning I was cleaning his litterbox and found some blood in his urine and I notice he’s not his usual self, lethargic and not as active. I’m taking him to the vet later but I would just like some second opinions, is there anything else that might be causing it and is there any cause for real concern other than having him checked by the vet again and letting the antibiotics run it’s course? Is there anything I should ask my vet once I see them?
