I took my cat to the vet around 3 weeks ago. The first day I went the vet gave me antibiotics to last about a week and a half. She said that he had a really bad UTI. I gave my cat all of the antibiotics and then returned to the vet after the week and a half for a follow up. The vet said that he still had some residual bacteria so she gave him a shot and said that should clear everything up and that he didn’t need to be seen again after that. Well. I noticed that he had blood in his urine again tonight. He has also had diarrhea since he started the antibiotics several weeks ago.
I’m going to call the vet first thing tomorrow morning, I’m just confused as to why this is happening again after the treatment.? I feed him Rachel Ray salmon cat food so I’m not sure if the food is causing it or what.
