Deaf cat aggression please help

So about 2 months ago I adopted a deaf female cat, she's around 10 months old, and 4kg she's been spayed and she's possibly the most confident and cuddly cat I've ever come across.

I already had a 6 month old female who's quite small, under 2kg that I rescued while she was around 6 weeks who is also a stupidly loving and confident cat. She has also been spayed.

I did the introductions properly having them separated and scent swapping/area swapping, gave her plenty of toys and attention, fed them on opposite sides of the doors etc and it was going well...until they got introduced, my resident cat (Luna) is very interested in the new girl (meeka) she loves to sniff and is more than happy to do her own thing while keeping an eye on her, normal right? They will follow each other around and chill on opposite ends of the room etc. But Meeka keeps attacking out of the blue, they'll be apart and doing whatever and she will sprint and pounce, pin Luna down with claws out and go for the throat..Luna will cry out but being deaf Meeka can't hear her and I have to split them up again...it's gotten to the point where Luna is hiding from her a fair bit and shaking sometimes so she's obviously scared..Meeka is also very food driven and will push Luna out of the way to get to her bowl after she's pretty much inhales her food..when they're apart they're amazing but together it's an absolute nightmare..

At night meeka is scratching at the doors and pulling up carpet to try and get upstairs but that's where Luna sleeps and I don't want them fighting at night...

It's worth noting that Meeka came from a family that adored her but i was told the older resident cat would bully her...I'm starting to think it may have been the other way round :/

I really don't know what to do because Meeka is so lovely when she's on her own and I really want her to have a good home but I feel like Luna is scared of her and isn't comfortable in her own home anymore and isn't the same girl she used to be...

What do I do? Is it time to think about rehoming Meeka? I feel like she would be more suited to a family that doesn't have other pets

Please help :(
