Dogsitting Failure - Do I Confess?

I'm dogsitting two male dogs and they're both pretty large. We had an incident on a walk this morning that made both me and the dog look pretty bad. No one was harmed.

I was warned that one dog is a barker and that was fine with me. He hates dogs his size or smaller and bicyclists. This morning while walking them, another dog met our path. We tried going around, but I couldn't hold the barking dog very well and fell down. He literally dragged me (just an inch or so) but boy did I look stupid. I got up and really hauled him away best I could, but I know the woman and her dog were scared/freaked by the scary dog and my somersault.

While this is mostly just embarrassing and no one got hurt, should I admit to the owner that I wasn't the best at handling him when he got out of control? I don't want to insult the owner, I just think I failed in this instance, and I'd rather I tell the owner than they find out from the neighbors. What do you think?
