I have 2 cats, brothers. They are just under 3 years old and have been diagnosed with feline stomatitis. After trying steroids for a month, I was told yesterday at their check up that they aren't getting much better. My vet referred me to a vet dentist to get full mouth extractions for both cats. The place is 1.5 hours away from me and quoted me at a range of $4500-5500 PER cat. So, 10k at the minimum. Is this a standard price? Seems like extortion to me. Obviously, I'll pay what is necessary to get them out of pain. But I do wonder what others that have done this have paid. Any advice is greatly appreciated!!
