So I found this stray in a parking lot at walmart, we took it in. Had some antibiotics for a bit, finished all her vaccinations, the believe she's about 8-9 weeks now. First few weeks at night we would keep her in a kennel while we slept while the other animals all got used to her. Right before bed and immediately after waking up we took her to the litter box and she would go, no issues.
This however is not the case when left to her own vices. We have two litter boxes, both cleaned in the morning and night. One hooded, one unhooded. They are located in our spare bath that we do not use with a cat door so only the cats can go in and out. She will use them consistently to poop but nearly every day she decides the bed is the best place to urinate, it doesn't even deter her if we are laying in the bed.
I am starting to get irritated, this morning I woke up to urine on the bed between my wife and I. Last night while watching TV she literally started to pee on the bed on top of my wife just minutes after I cleaned both litter boxes and probably an hour before that found a spot on the bed where she went that day while I was mowing the lawn. I have washed and changed 3 sets of sheets in 24 hrs(The spots get soaked in cat urine remover before going in the wash). Now first thing Monday I plan to take her in and have her checked to make sure it isn't a UTI or some other issue, I put a third little box in there this morning, its less high walled and not hooded.
I am just honestly at a loss, we never had this many issues with our other cats. I can pick her up by her off button if I catch her pawing or squatting and drop her in the hallway, she immediately makes for the bathroom and pees in the litter box but if we don't catch her she just lets loose on the bed. It doesn't seem to be a picky litter situation, more like she's just too lazy to move and she just pisses where a second ago she was sleeping or cleaning leading to the UTI theory.
