i’ve had a cat for about 7 years or so and about 2 years ago. we introduced two new Labrador puppies to the house. when you look at how they act, my cat loves to antagonize them. they act like she’s a queen. they get super excited but also nervous anytime she enters a room and will only go so close to her before they do that thing dogs do when they constantly run up and back off over and over again. they part like the red sea whenever she needs to get through, and sometimes she’ll sit right in front of the doggy door and they’re either stuck outside, inside or separated. we had to move her food up on a table because the dogs kept eating it. and sometimes would give the dogs any leftover cat food that didn’t come out of the can. but as soon as we did that she stopped eating her food and looked down at them as if she was disgusted they would even lay eyes on her food. so fast forward and now she’s revenge eating they’re dry food right in front of them. i bet she doesn’t even like they’re food because the moment she’s done she goes right back to her food for a second more tasty meal. when we first got the dogs she only ever attacked them if they got too close. now she does it all the time but never uses her claws.
