Hell there.
My cat is primarily a wet-food cat. She doesn't eat a lot of dry food, but during the day I want to provide her with food if she's hungry, so I allow her to graze feed from her bowl. Generally it takes her days and days to finish off a bowl, and honestly she's just a thin cat by nature.
But, coming around to the point...I think that allowing her to graze on dry food is also causing a bit of a mouse issue. I live rurally, so I'm surrounded by woods and fields, so mice are already a thing I have to deal with in my life, but I feel like leaving her dry food out is part of the problem. I'd like to remove that factor of the equation and, since my cat is very slow at eating her dry food, I'd like to switch to an autofeeder to cut down on the amount of food available at once during the day/overnight. I would also help on those occasions where I am out of the house for a day or longer and need to supply her with a ready source of food.
That being said I've never used or even looked at an autofeeder before. What are some trustworthy and most importantly safe brands I could look into?
