Today is a really sad day. My best bud of 14 years is being put to sleep in two hours. He’s the most affectionate and loving cat, and I’ve had him since I was 10. About a month ago he started throwing up a lot, and then later refusing to eat. After over £900 worth of vet fee’s we’re still not sure what’s going on, although they suspect cancer. He’s lost so much weight and he’s just skin and bone, and he has no energy. Part of me is saying ‘just wait a little while longer and see if he recovers’ but I know that’s selfish to do. I’ve been cuddling him all day and he’s happily purring away on me, he knows I love him so much and I know he loves me back. Treasure your moments with your little fur babies as they really are the light in the darkness.
