I’ve been feeding him for months. We have a little schedule of feeding and petting time. He purrs loudly, begs for pets, etc. but he will NOT allow me to pick him up. I’ve tried to grab him by the nape a handful of times and it mostly ends with large bloody wounds and him forgiving me about 15 minutes later. As soon as I put both hands around him, he immediately runs aways and comes back for pets.
I’m just worried his wounds will get infected and I want to bring him inside and help him. What can I do at this point?
Oh and side note: we tried a humane trap before and he’s clearly been trapped and released before because he was smart enough not to step on the pressure plate.
