Hi,
We went to the vet with our cat (male, 13 y/o) because he's been repeatedly vomiting. They did several checks (blood, contrast radiography), and they found a mass between the oesophagus and lungs, as far as I understand. They can't tell me if it's a tumour (benign/malignant) or something else. No metastases were found, one lymph node is slightly swollen.
We got an appointment on Wednesday (they are very busy and wouldn't give us an earlier appointment) to do a CT scan.
It's been quite warm in the past ten days, we hit 36 C (97 F) yesterday, and I can't stop worrying about him. The vet told me to make his food smaller, and we are giving him some liquid/creamy snacks with some Virbac Nutribound.
I would like to give him some proper food (without making it look like porridge), but he's refusing to have it. I don't know if he's refusing it because he likes and prefers his new snacks or if it's just because of the heat.
He hasn't been vomiting since Sunday, and I can't find any other symptoms (apart from the food problems). He is going to the bathroom, and there's no blood in the stool or anything like that. He also likes to be touched/pet but also sleeps under my bed. (probably because of the heat, the floor is cool)
Is there's anything I can do to help him? Maybe there's a product we haven't tried yet?
Thank you so much
