First off, yes I’m a ghostbusters fan.
My girlfriend (25) and I (24) have discussed moving in with eachother, but we’re not certain how our pets will act while around one another.
My dog is a 6y/o labradoodle. Recently inherited her from a late relative, and she’s not trained all too well. One thing I have been able to do, however, is apartment train her by shifting her diet to the point where she’ll go to the bathroom when I take her out to go. Problem: She doesn’t really get along with other dogs unless it’s in a natural setting. Gets really teritorial especially on walks. She had a bad episode where she tried to bite the neighbors dog… neighbor wasn’t happy and neither was I.
Girlfriend has a cat that’s about the same age as my dog. She’s afraid my dog will try and kill the cat, and hasn’t even wanted to consider having the animals meet.
We’re kind of stuck here. I don’t want to put down my dog, as her presence lives on the memory of my relative. Advice welcome.
