Found a cat in the apartment building, what do i do?

Im the temporary housekeep of the apartment building, who is responsible for keeping things clean and collecting the monthly upkeep for the building from the tenants for repair, electricity for the common space etc and came across a situation im not sure how to handle.

There is a cat that wanders inside the apartment building, i don't know if it belongs to any of the neighbors and for that reason haven't left open the front door of the apartment building for it to leave.

Left a note downstairs asking tenants to not let the cat roam in the hallways and that they should keep the cat inside their apartment (if the cat belongs to one of the tenants).

So far i left outside my door some food and water cus i dont know if the cats eaten or had anything these past three days.

Should i leave it at that or should i open the front door to the apartment building?
