So Two years ago my family adopted two kittens, Anne and Nancy. Nancy ended up being super attached to me, always following my every footstep around the house, sleeping with me, etc. Anne on the other hand is very attached to my mom.
In the next couple of years I will have to move out. Me and my mom have discussed before what we will do with the cats, but never reached a conclusion. What do you guys think, will the cats be a)happier together at my parents house when I move out, even though Nancy will not be living with me anymore, b) I take Nancy with me, although she will be away from her sister or c) I take both cats with me, although Anne will not have my mom?
I’ve tried to think logically about this, for example if they were in the wild the sisters would have parted ways when they were kittens, so maybe it’s natural for them to be separated. However, they still play together every morning after breakfast, so they obviously are bonded. So I’m just not sure.
At the end of the day I want what is best for my cats, even if it means I will miss seeing Nancy. I will be as helpful as I can in the comments!
