I don't know what to do about my cat.

For a bit of background I have a 5 year old cat and I have had him for 4 years. I Adore this cat, he got me through a real dark place at one point. His name is Buddy.

Buddy has some troubles, namely some separation anxiety and territorial issues (like destroying doors and carpets because a door is closed or he can't see me)

I like in a house with three roommates and we all have 3 cats collectively but of these three cats, mine is the only one who actively destroys the home we live in and our other property.

He has destroyed: two car titles, a boxed game boy that my roommate was going to sell, two carpets, a rug, a printer, a door, and some wall trim.

And through all of this I just kinda tried to alter my situation so that he couldn't do this stuff. I started leaving all the doors open all the time, i bought a safe to leave documents in. I tried briefly using the no scratch sprays ( did absolutely nothing). I tried to give this cat everything I could to appease him.

through all this he occasionally just attacks my roommates and houseguests randomly. I have no idea how to stop that.

But this stuff all came to a head recently when I installed an AC unit in my room. I had it in and working for 2 days when my cat destroyed the accordion spacers on either side of it and left outside through the resulting crack. He got into trouble with the neighborhood strays and I had to rescue him when I got home. As I repaired the AC unit spacers I had to lock him out of the room so I could work in peace. He responded by tearing the carpet off the floor at the doorway.

And now I came home tonight to see that he has again tried to break through my AC unit spacers. It's just too much for me at this point. I need him to go, because I can't handle this anymore.

While I was looking around I saw that all of the local shelters are not accepting surrenders right now.

What can I do for my cat Buddy?
